Gabriela Gabriela Keseberg Dávalos, Director of Global Public Affairs, represented Southern Voice at the Global Solutions Summit from 6–7 May, 2024. The event aimed at addressing key policy challenges facing the G20 and G7 and other global governance fora.
Alongside an esteemed panel of speakers, she moderated the session “BRICS+, G20, and the Path to Collective Action.” It explored the evolving international order and ways to promote collective action through multilateral forums like BRICS+, G20, and G7. You can re-watch the session here:
Panelists discussed whether these forums are a substitute for the UN, their complementarity, potential areas of collaboration including digital, AI, biodiversity, health, and food security, as well as the increasing geopoliticization of climate issues. She also participated in key meetings on AI governance in Latin America and G20-T20 Climate Action & Sustainable Development.
